Konzerthaus Blaibach
The concert hall in the small town of Blaibach combines modern architecture with traditional building materials. A significant architectural achievement worth visiting.
The bavarian architect Peter Haimerl, whom we have worked with in the bavarian forrest near Schedlberg, designed a concert hall in the small town of Blaibach so significant pretty much everyone has seen it. Since 2014 the concert hall impresses the whole world with its extraordinary design. Driving out of the ground of the central square, visitors are invited to step down beneath the surface to experience music and art.
Haimerl designed the concert hall together with world renowned baritone singer Thomas E. Bauer, achieving not only an architecturally remarkable building but also a world class acoustics. Haimerl used granite to form the facade, forming a connection to the heritage of Blaibach where it has been used for decades. The interior of the building impresses with the ultra light concrete used to achieve the acoustic concept.
We were tasked with closing and integrating the formwork tie holes left on the surfaces.
