Felix Sommer is the Owner and Managing Director of SB5ÜNF GmbH and SB5IVE Pty Ltd. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in architectural concrete finishing and remediation, he is recognised for delivering predictable, high-quality concrete outcomes on complex projects.

Felix is a certified carpenter and the author of Beton und Nicht Beton, a specialist publication on architectural concrete surfaces and material quality. He founded Betonretusche in 2004 and led the company until 2015 before establishing SB5ÜNF in 2016. Since then, he has played a key role in setting new aesthetic and technical benchmarks in exposed concrete.

Working closely with architects, builders and clients, Felix supports projects from early planning through to execution. His focus is on risk reduction, early problem identification and smooth project delivery. In addition to his project work, he regularly lectures and speaks on architectural concrete, materiality and surface quality.

With over 15 years of combined experience in the construction and safety sectors, Thomas brings a unique mix of technical know-how and industry insight to the business. Originally from Germany, he migrated to Australia nearly a decade ago and has since made a name for himself in the commercial waterproofing and concrete remediation industry. Thomas is also the founder and director of Martens Ranisch Contracting Pty Ltd, where he specialises in remedial waterproofing and complex defect rectification projects.

Finn Antony supports the development of SB5IVE in Australia, with a focus on market entry, client relationships and operational structure. Having lived and worked in Australia for several years, he brings a strong understanding of local working practices and business culture.

As part of the next generation of SB5IVE as a family business, Finn combines reliability, clear communication and a hands-on mindset. He supports projects and partnerships with energy, structure and a strong sense of responsibility for long-term growth.
